A couple nights ago, Luke and I watched one of the latest food documentaries called Hungry for Change.
Most people think of documentaries as boring, but the ones abut food tend to fascinate me. If you love food (who doesn’t?!) and want to know more about what you’re putting into your body and how you can live healthier, I’d really recommend you watch some of these documentaries.
Hungry for Change is about Americans’ tendencies to go on fad diets and the reasons these diets don’t work. It talks about all the problems with the Western diet and processed food, and gives recommendations and true stories of how people can live and eat healthier.
Overall, I thought it was a good documentary. If you’ve watched all of the other popular food documentaries, you’ll probably find it a bit repetitive, but I still learned a few new things. If you’ve never watched a food documentary, I’d really recommend you watch it. It’s important to find out what you’re really putting into your body! If you’re interested, it’s available to watch online until tomorrow (I assume at midnight). Let me know what you think if you do!
And if you’re interested in watching more documentaries, I really enjoyed Food Inc., Food Matters, Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead, and Fast Food Nation just to name a few off the top of my head.
If you’d rather make something healthy to eat (or drink in this case) than watch a documentary about it, I’ll tell you how to make a delicious Strawberry Kiwi Smoothie!
It’s a perfect healthy snack on a beautiful spring day! And easy to make!
Just put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
That’s it! Enjoy!
