For the past three weeks, I’ve been having fun participating in Best Body Bootcamp. The program has taught me a lot of new strength exercises that I’m sure I’ll continue doing after it’s over. Most of my favorite exercises have involved using the stability ball I recently purchased. I think I love using the ball because it reminds me of all the gymnastics I did when I was a kid. It’s also just fun to bounce on . Teddy, however, is deathly afraid of it. He runs away whenever I take it out.
There are tons of exercises that you can do with it, but one particular favorite of mine from the first two weeks of bootcamp was doing one leg squats on it.
Doesn’t that look fun? This week, I’m loving doing hip abductions with the ball.
I’ve been supplementing bootcamp with lots of walks with Teddy this week because we’ve had record high temperatures the entire week! We’ve actually had the AC on for the past couple of days. My Mom will shudder when she reads that, but it’s hot here!
The heat and summery weather inspired me to make an ice cold post bootcamp smoothie today. I wanted something that tasted like summer, so I created an Orange Creamsicle Spinach Smoothie!
If you still haven’t jumped on the spinach smoothie bandwagon, give this one a try. It tastes a whole lot like those orange creamsicle popsicles I used to enjoy as a kid!
Again, I promise you can’t taste the spinach – just orange creamy deliciousness!
All you do is…
Throw yogurt, orange juice, spinach and frozen banana in a blender.
And blend until smooth and green!
Orange Creamsicle Spinach Smoothie
- 1/2 cup vanilla Chobani yogurt
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 cup spinach
- 1 frozen banana
- Place yogurt, orange juice, spinach and banana in a blender and blend until smooth! (I use an immersion blender.)
