I got some exciting news today – I got into grad school!
If all goes as planned, I’ll be moving back to Houston to pursue a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Health Promotion in the fall. I decided pretty close to the application deadline that I wanted to change my career path and apply for this program (I majored in Political Science in college, have been working on campaigns, and had previously planned to go to law school). I had to study and take the GRE in about 3 weeks and then I had another 2 weeks to get all of my recommendations in and my application submitted. It was very stressful and I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to do it, but I’m glad I did! I finally have future plans again :).
Clearly, that was the highlight of the day, but the rest of my day today was pretty fun, too! Luke and I took Teddy to Bear Brook State Park to go on a little hike and have a picnic.
We found a pretty nice spot to have out picnic! Luke and I munched on bread, cheese, and fruit and Teddy munched on some nice sticks he found :).
As you can tell Teddy had tons of fun!
We all had a pretty great day! I’m off to cook dinner and celebrate – I’ve got some really good recipes coming at y’all tomorrow!
